Overview
The Taxa Mantis is the largest trailer from Taxa Outdoors, a Houston manufacturer founded in 2014 by former NASA architect Garrett Finney. It is a hard-sided pop-up camper built on a single axle, with a laser-cut steel skeleton clad in aluminum composite panels and a roof that raises to give roughly seven feet of interior standing height. The Standard build runs 19 feet long at 3,115 pounds dry and includes a Dometic two-burner galley, 20-gallon fresh and 22-gallon gray tanks, an 8,000 BTU air conditioner, a Truma Combi furnace and water heater, an interior standing shower, and a cassette toilet. An Overland edition adds Timbren axle-less suspension and three inches of ground clearance. Base price is $45,750.
